The Organ Takers has been selected as a finalist in Foreword Reviews’ INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards for 2014. What is Foreword Reviews?
Foreword Reviews is both an online and print review journal that reviews independently published books. It is distributed quarterly to 7500 librarians and booksellers and is also available at most Barnes & Noble newsstands and by subscription. This is great exposure for any emerging author.
What is the INDIEFAB award? This is an annual award presented to the best book in each of 60+ genres. All the entries in each genre are culled by the editorial team to a shortlist of finalists. The finalists are then sent to qualified booksellers and librarians across the country for final judging.
Finalists are announced in mid-March on the Foreword Reviews website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, by email to registrants, and in the Foreword This Week e-newsletter. A celebration of the winners will take place during the American Library Association Annual Conference the last Friday in June. Again, this is tremendous exposure for any emerging author, win or lose.
If you are a reader and you are interested in discovering new authors and their stories, visit Foreword Reviews online, grab a copy of the latest issue from Barnes and Noble, or subscribe to the magazine and have it delivered to you quarterly.
If you are a writer, submit your book to Foreword Reviews for a review, and consider entering the INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards.
If you are familiar with the magazine or the website, or you are a past participant in the contest, I’d be interested in hearing about it.
